Review of remote pc access software

I have approached this issue from two standpoints. One is personal and the other is professional. There are a number of tools that can be used for both personal and professional remote pc software.

Something like Log Me In can be used for remote desktop purposes. It is fairly cheap as well. In the other article, I will run what I think are the best all-purpose remote pc access software for your money. As always though, everyone's situation is different and I would encourage you to try different solutions out on your own.

Business Use of Remote PC Access Software

When it comes to using a remote pc access software for business, the players are a little different. You could use Team Viewer, or WebEx, or even LogMeIn. Most likely though, if you have a need for remote desk viewing and control, you are going to need something that works all the time and has smooth screen sharing. The screen sharing is very important. My favorite for this is WebEx. LogMeIn does a decent job. But, with WebEx, you have some more features, and the screen share seems to be better.

Personal Use of Remote PC Access Software

OK. There are different needs when it comes to remote desktop software. I, for one, will approach it from the standpoint of having parents that need the remote help. We tried Yugma. But, it was too slow. We tried dimdim and the refresh rates were not working. The best remote pc access software for the price (free) is LogMeIn. Their remote software seems to be the best thought out and most comprehensive. You do have to sign-up for it. So, once you do that though, you are set.

Personal Story of Remote Access

After some time of having this blog up, some people asked me to relate a personal story. So, here goes. I have family everywhere. I am considered the tech guy of the family. Needless to say, I cannot be everywhere and be in person sitting in front of my family's computers.

So, I turned to remote PC access software. This allows me to see and control the remote computer from my computer! It's great! Remote Software is great and it works well over dial-up, DSL, ISDN, and of course broadband connections.
Don't forget. You can use this software to access your work computer while traveling from your personal computer. My parents love that feature.
